Trek Frame Serial Numbers
 Prior
to late 1980, Trek used a an alphanumeric serial number scheme. Records
of these numbers apparently have been lost.
Late in 1980, Trek changed to a sequential systems,
beginning with number 000001 and ending in November of 1996 with number
279975. The record of the assembly runs was documented in a handwritten,
86 page journal. This information is summarized by year in the table
below. These are dates of frame brazing, and are not necessarily model
year. The serial numbers are summarized in the
table below.
